Living in Singapore was the best of times and the worst of times. I loved being so close to the rest of Southeast Asia and having such a gorgeous city to live in, but working there and adapting to Chinese culture was extremely difficult. I was glad to leave, but I have a feeling I’ll be back someday. It was the most fascinating blend of East and West, ancient and modern, liberal and conservative, and my photos are quite a collage of all of those things.
